Every cosmetic tattoo at Lash & Brow Ink by Ash begins with a patch test, a bespoke mapping and a colour mixed to your undertone — never a template. Ash has been enhancing brows, lips and eyes since 2016 using premium pigments and sterile single-use tools. Each brow, lip and liner treatment includes a complimentary perfecting session at 6–8 weeks. Same-day appointments are often available and Sundays are open by appointment.

Ombre Brows

Ombre brows (also called ombré powder brows) are shaded with a machine using tiny pigment dots, soft and light at the front and gradually deeper through the tail. The result is a soft-pencilled, filled-in brow that photographs beautifully and heals more predictably than hair-stroke work on oily skin. No harsh outline, no block shape — just a gradient that looks like brow powder you never have to reapply.

Best for: Oily or combination skin, mature skin, anyone who wears brow makeup daily

Powder Brows

Powder brows use the same pixelated shading technique as ombre, applied evenly from front to tail for a denser, makeup-finished look. Ideal if you like a stronger brow or have very little natural hair to work with. Density is fully adjustable — we can keep it whisper-soft or build it bold at your perfecting session.

Best for: Sparse brows, over-plucked brows, clients wanting a fuller, more defined finish

Combination Brows

Combination brows blend crisp hair strokes through the front and arch with soft shading behind them. You get the natural, textured look of individual hairs where the eye notices detail most, plus the fullness and staying power of shading through the body and tail. The most versatile option for normal to slightly oily skin.

Best for: Clients who want realism plus definition — the most requested brow at the studio

Nano Hair Strokes

Nano hair strokes are drawn with an ultra-fine machine needle, one crisp hair at a time, following the direction your own brow hairs grow. Because the needle is finer and gentler than a blade, healing is cleaner and strokes stay sharper than traditional microblading. The closest thing to real brow hair.

Best for: Normal to dry skin, clients wanting the most natural, hair-like brow

Microblading

Microblading places fine hair-like strokes by hand to fill gaps and rebuild shape. Best suited to dry or normal skin — on oily skin strokes can soften faster, in which case ombre or combination brows will hold far better. We'll tell you honestly at consultation which technique suits your skin.

Lip Blush Tattoo

Lip blush is a soft wash of pigment through the whole lip that restores colour, subtly redefines the border and makes lips look fuller and healthier — like a tinted balm that never wears off. Nothing is drawn outside your natural lip line and shades are custom-mixed with you, from barely-there rose to a deeper berry.

Best for: Pale, uneven or undefined lips; anyone who lives in lipstick

Lip Neutralisation

Lip neutralisation corrects cool, dark or patchy lip tone before colour is added. Warm corrective pigments cancel out grey and blue undertones so the finished blush reads even and true. Deeper lip tones usually need two to three sessions spaced 8–10 weeks apart — we'll map out a realistic plan at your consultation rather than over-promise in one visit.

Best for: Naturally dark, grey, blue-toned or unevenly pigmented lips

Cosmetic Tattoo Questions

Which brow tattoo is best for oily skin?

Ombre or powder brows. Shading holds far better on oily skin than hair strokes, which can soften and blur as they heal. Combination brows are a good middle ground for slightly oily skin.

Does cosmetic tattooing hurt?

A topical numbing cream is applied before and during your appointment, so most clients describe it as light scratching or pressure. Lips are the most sensitive area and are numbed throughout.

How long does cosmetic tattoo last?

Brows generally last 1.5–3 years and lips and eyeliner 2–4 years, depending on your skin type, sun exposure, skincare and how deep a colour you choose. An annual or biennial touch up keeps everything looking fresh.

Is a patch test or consultation needed?

Yes — a patch test is done at least 24 hours before your appointment, and we map your shape and mix your colour together before any pigment is implanted.
